Skyline Motorsports Tabs Dallon Murty
Two-Car Iowa Team Aims for 2026 Debut at Speedweeks
DECORAH, Iowa (11/11/25) – A new chapter is set to begin for Skyline Motorsports as the Iowa-based organization is proud to announce the addition of Dallon Murty. The young racer will join teammate Tyler Bruening for the 2026 season and beyond.
Murty — the youngest-ever IMCA Stock Car Super Nationals champion and 2025 XR Stock Car Rampage winner — will take the wheel of the Bruening Rock Products / Stealth Oilwell Services, LLC No. 13 Late Model when the 2026 season kicks off.
“Obviously, I’m excited,” said team owner Greg Bruening. “It’s always tough to make a driver change. Mike [Marlar] was all class and a great teammate to Tyler, but with Dallon, I feel like we’re giving the next generation a chance. There’s no question he has tremendous potential and a bright future ahead of him, but this is also a way for us to give back to the sport. In the past, we’ve had teammates who mentored Tyler, and now I want to reverse the roles and have him take the lead.”
Bruening added that Murty’s reputation and work ethic played key roles in the team’s decision.
“Despite his youth, Dallon has an extensive racing background, and he’s proven to be competitive in anything he drives,” Bruening said. “He’s also very hands-on and not afraid to get underneath the car and make adjustments. That kind of work ethic goes a long way in this sport.”
A farmer by trade, Murty recently completed his rookie season in Late Models, impressing across the Midwest with six feature victories between the Malvern Bank Super Late Model West and East Series.
Murty joked that he may spend more time on the road than on the family farm next year, but he is grateful for the chance to take the next step in his career.
“This is what you dream of as a kid,” Murty said. “To work your way up to the point where you can drive for someone else. I can’t thank Greg and Tyler enough for the opportunity. It’s awesome to be part of a top-notch program like Skyline Motorsports. I’m looking forward to working with the entire team. I also want to thank my family and sponsors who’ve helped me reach this point — it means a lot.”
Murty’s new teammate Tyler Bruening echoed the enthusiasm.
“I’m from Iowa, so I’m a little biased, but I think IMCA racing produces some of the best racers,” he said. “Dallon is a perfect example of that. He was elite in Stock Cars and proved himself in Late Models this season. I’m excited to get to work with him and see what we can do together.”
Murty will relocate from his hometown of Chelsea, Iowa, to Skyline Motorsports’ Decorah-based headquarters, roughly 130 miles away. The team has named Cory Richman to lead Murty’s program, while Zeb Holkesvik will continue as crew chief for Bruening. In addition, Skyline Motorsports has finalized a partnership with Austin Kirkpatrick and both drivers will pilot a Rev1 Race Car in 2026.
While the team’s full 2026 schedule has yet to be finalized, Skyline Motorsports plans to open its campaign in late January or early February at Speedweeks. Once complete, the entire schedule will be available at www.TylerBruening.com.
