Tyler Bruening sets new track record at Norman County Speedway

Linking with the World of Outlaw Real American Beer Late Model Series for two days, Tyler Bruening checked into River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, N.D.) on Friday afternoon for the for the $12,000-to-win event.

Laying down the fastest lap in his qualifying group, Bruening raced to a runner-up finish in his heat race and started fifth in the 40-lap feature. Tyler went on to record a Top-10 finish in eighth.

Tyler kept the qualifying speed for Saturday's show at Norman County Raceway (Ada, Minn.) and set a new track record at the facility with lap time of 15.069. Bruening picked up a heat race win and redrew the No. 3 spot for the 50-lap feature event. Tyler ran inside the Top-3 until a late flat tire relegated him to a 18th-place finish.
